On Starting a Blog
Though few will care or even take a mind
To log on here and see what I have wrought
I strain to write and count my rhymes – for nought? –
Some nonsense verse to charm and to unwind
As I ignore my work, my daily grind.
But still, must pay for ipods that I’ve bought
And with small chance to work these as I ought,
You will, please, in your comments here, be kind.
If all goes well, I’ll pen this blog in verse –
A sonnet, double dactyl, or an ode –
‘Fore going home to drink myself a beer.
And though my rhythm’s bad and may explode,
You’ll read, I hope, for better, not for worse,
And let me know if I have hurt your ear.

No. It is related to a fictional cult leader, played by John Malkovich, in the film version of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."
